Friday the 13th free book promotions

I saw a posting on the Sisters in Crime yahoo forum digest yesterday which had been posted Tuesday actually for a Friday the 13th free promotion day. I figured it can't hurt. I know I wasn't going to use the other free days left on any of my books but I wanted to see some numbers again and since Friday the 13th is usually considered a bad luck day, I thought I'd turn it into a good luck day by making all three of my short stories - "The Tulip Kiss", "The Proposal" and "Bride-and-Seek" free for the day only.

If you would like to see a listing of authors who have joined the free promotion day, Friday the 13th, you can find all the books listed here. You will find mysteries, young adult, children's, romance, westerns, nonfiction, self-help books and everything in between. So let's see how it goes. Happy downloading Friday the 13th.

You can find all three books listed here. See you all in the postings - E :)

Terrific promotional idea, and one that highlights the benefit of making use of different holidays and special days throughout the year to keep the buzz going. Thanks for making your stories avialable - I'm going right on over to download.

Maggie,

The sale will be effective at midnight Pacific time tonight, and I'm not sure what the time difference is between Australia and Pacific Time. Just double check to make sure they are free or $0.00 before downloading them - E :)

CONGRATS to the winner. I'm way behind on my blog reading. I hope I can get caught up! Great promotional idea for a Friday the 13th!

I like the new look of your blog!

Susanne,

I'm surprised you don't subscribe by email to read the blog postings. I knew you would eventually show up though as you are the person who comments consistently on my blog.

Thanks for the kudos on the blog. I took some things off the side bar that were causing it to load too slow for my tastes and that has helped. This is just a basic template - no changes to it - I couldn't really find something I wanted that jumped off the page as being me but this has a mountain scene (as best I can tell) so I went for it, even though it looks like a rainy day type of thing. See you in the postings - E :)

Mary Jo,

Only if you are in the KDP select program which means exclusive listing with amazon for 90 days and thereby allowing you to put your books up for free for 5 of those 90 days. Those downloads are nonpaying but the premise behind it is to generate sales after the free days. I've not seen a drastic increase in my sales either way so I've decided to take the books out the program come the end of the 90-day run and put them all back up on nook and smashwords so that hopefully I'll generate some more sales from various ebook reader things - lol.

Thanks for stopping by - don't forget to email me your mailing address so I can send you the bookworm you won from over on the WOTM blog - see you all in the postings - E :)
