The cover is lovely. I'ts mysterious and makes you wonder why the girl is looking out the window at the house. Hints that the house is important to the story.

Congratulations to you and to the illustrator.

Thank you for the reply Beverly. Yes the house is definitely the key factor in the story. I am getting more excited about publishing this story now. The back cover will have the mirror with grandma's reflection (another hint to the importance of the story) with the blurb and I love, love, love the mirror - it turned out so cool - the full cover isn't completed yet but I've seen a variance of that front cover with a mock up of the back cover already and I can't wait to see what she does with it - I'm so thankful to have Heather doing my covers and illustrations for my state stories. She does such a wonderful job. - See you in the postings - E :)

I think the cover looks great. The back cover sounds like it will be great, too. When will this book be released?

Susanne - thanks for stopping by - I'm shooting for a release date of between the 26th and 30th of October. I totally need to get my heiny in gear and finish my revisions this week so I can have my final read throughs and sent to Heather to get the layout done - she is diligently working on her school work, her own writings and several other folks covers, et cetera. Plus I just threw four more finished stories (previously published/some award winners) at her to do covers so that I can republish them as ebooks - so stay tuned for those to start showing up about the same time as Finally Home or thereabouts. By the time November rolls around, I'll have The Tulip Kiss, The Proposal, Butterfly Halves and Bride-and-Seek republished. Butterfly Halves is the only other children's/YA I have and the other three are geared for adult readers. I'll probably be posting about those in the upcoming weeks as well. I have a lot to do between now and the week of Halloween with my books/stories - lol.

I think Beverly said it best about the cover - it's mysterious enough to make you wonder why she is looking at the house and that the house is an important part of the story - which is the message I needed to convey - chat soon - E :)
